There are several small stores, restaurants, bars etc within an 5-10 minute walking distance of your apartment. The shops are opposite a very peaceful and popular park (Princess Diana Park) and gardens. Also they just also built a new supermarket (Supercor) on the corner adjacent to the entrance to Riviera.

 

The new shopping centre in Riviera - the Riviera Plaza has just opened we believe, well it had its official opening on the 5th July 2005.

The Riviera Plaza  is an excellent facility for those of us who holiday and live in Riviera and sits on the main road through Riviera del Sol. It hosts a number of retail outlets, cafe/bar and a supermarket in the basement, as well as toilet facilities. The Plaza is open 9.00am - 9.30pm Monday - Saturday and is closed on a Sunday.

 

There is a Pharmacy, Bank, Newsagents, Bureau de change, hairdressers, beauticians, souvenir shop and a key cutting service too.

 

An SuperCor supermarket sits adjacent the the roundabout at the entrance to Riviera del Sol.

Open 365 days of the year between the hours of 8.00am to 2.00am (yes that is right 18 hrs per day). I found it more expensive than the other supermarkets but for people arriving late at night the OpenCor supermarket is a bonus!

 

If you come off the roundabout in Riviera, drive along the Avda Polaris, for say 100 metres, you will come to  Riviera Comercial. Here you will find  a Car Hire company,Bars and Restaurants, a Pharmacy, Estate Agent, Reflexology, Gifts and Community Administration.
